About Us

Located on the campus of Connecticut College, Thames Valley Music School is recognized as one of the finest private music schools in New England and has been providing the highest quality musical instruction to the residents of Southeastern Connecticut since 1979.

We offer individual instruction in piano, stringed and wind instruments, percussion, voice and music theory, as well as ensembles for all ages and abilities, including our new Orchestra for advanced students.

Our Mission

It is the mission of Thames Valley Music School to provide quality music instruction and performance opportunities that will promote a lifelong appreciation of music.

Thames Valley Music School is located on the beautiful campus of Connecticut College in New London, CT, in the Cummings Arts Center, Music Department.

We also offer private instruction at The Williams School, an independent college prep day school for grades 6-12.
