Thames Valley Music School Orchestra was created in September 2004 for advanced high school students and talented musicians seeking the opportunity to perform in the highest quality orchestral environment. Performances are presented twice each season, one in December and one in May. The orchestra is directed by James E. Jackson III.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Thames Valley Youth Symphony is to encourage and develop artistic excellence among young musicians in Southeastern Connecticut by providing a diversity of quality orchestral experiences; and, to enhance the cultural environment of the families and communities it serves.
