Thames Valley Music School Programs

At Thames Valley Music School, our programs are created to provide you with the environment and instruction necessary for artistic growth. We offer private lessons in piano, string and wind instruments, percussion and voice, as well as ensembles for all ages and abilities.

Private Lessons

Have you thought about picking up an instrument for the first time? Do your children seem musically inclined, but need an outlet to explore their talents? If music is still in your blood or your kids have the desire to learn an instrument, then private lessons are the perfect opportunity to grow and develop your skills. Private lessons run continuously from September – June and students can enroll at any time.

Thames Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra

Calling all talented musicians, advanced high school students and those striving for artistic excellence. The Thames Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra was created just for you! Under the development and expertise of conductor Evan Meccarello, TVMS is searching for enthusiastic and talented students to perform in a high-quality orchestral environment. Performances are presented twice each season (December and May). Performers are chosen by audition only.

Chamber Ensembles

Ever thought about playing in a Chamber Ensemble? We can arrange that for you! Simply call the office at 860-439-2749 or email tvms@conncoll.edu and tell Kathy what you are looking for. We can then put a group together with like-minded musicians and find a teacher to inspire you!

Our String Ensemble is available to students of all levels in grades 4-6. This is the perfect opportunity for your student to learn and play with others who are equally passionate.

Intermediate Strings

Our Intermediate String Ensemble is perfect for students of all skill levels, grades 6 and up. This is a great opportunity for your student to get involved and learn to play with others!
